100 Miles Canoe Challenge
We are canoeing 100 miles from Glasbury in the Black Mountains to Chepstow along the River Wye to raise money and awareness for Troop Aid.
The event starts at Glasbury in Wales on the 26 May and finishes in Chepstow on Friday 31 May 2013. Canoeists from HMS Forward and TS Sherbourne Sea Cadets based in the Midlands will be carrying out the task. The event has been organised with a local guide for the River Wye and will be completing the task over a six day period to allow fund raising along the way. Come and support us along the route or at any of our stops. Donations will be collected along the way and a web link via Virgin Money Giving web site has been set up for this event.

"Way of the Roses" cycle
Del Drake will be cycling the 'Way of the Roses' coast to coast bike ride with 7 other friends from 1 to 3 of June 2013. The actual route is from Morcambe in Lancashire to Bridlington in North Yorkshire a distance of 172 miles. Del organised this event initially as a fun thing to do and to make me get the bike out of garage. He was originally keeping this fairly low key but was finally persuaded to put it on Just Giving, he has been pledged a good sum so far to Troop Aid and another small charity at the Hospital, some already have paid him and the rest probably after he has completed the ride. He intends to inform everybody about the Just Giving site and encourage them to pay that way. The link is below:

Sponsored stretcher carry in aid of Troop Aid and Help for Heroes
12 Uniformed Public Service students from CTC Kingshurst Academy
will undertake a sponsored stretcher carry in aid of Troop Aid and Help for Heroes on 19 July 2013. They will be carrying two stretchers with a dummy on dressed in combats. The route they will follow is 09:00: Birmingham Airport, then walk through Solihull and Birmingham to the Centre for Defence Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
17:00: Finishing up at the Council House in Birmingham Town Centre.

The Lakeland 50
The Lakeland 50 is one the greatest ultra running and walking challenges in Europe, perhaps the world. It is run over the second half of the Lakeland 100 Ultra Tour of the Lake District, completing the final 50 miles of the 100 course.
Becky Lincoln will be running to raise funds for Troop Aid from noon on Saturday July 27th 2013 until noon on Sunday July 28th 2013.
